Eating healthy at fast food restaurants used to be difficult, but now, even the most infamous of fast food franchises (according to the overall nutritional value of foods) offer some low fat meals. Following are some of the healthy fast food meals and menu items available at McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, and Taco Bell.
McDonald's Healthy Fast Food Meals
McDonald's salads are by far its healthiest meals. The Premium Caesar Salad without chicken has only 90 calories, and both the Premium Bacon Ranch Salad and the Premium Southwest Salad have 140 total calories without chicken. If adding chicken, go with grilled instead of crispy (fried) on the salads if you are watching your weight. Newman's Own Low Fat Balsamic Vinaigrette is the healthiest dressing. The plain hamburger (250 calories) and the Honey Mustard and Chipotle BBQ Snack Wraps with grilled chicken have 260 calories, making them the sandwich items, with the lowest calories. The lowest calorie breakfast items are the plain English muffin and the plain biscuit.
